Oldies

Today I decided to show you a few of my Crafts from the Past. ( I said this in head like the movie guy!) This is an earring holder that I made from a mesh bag and some fuzzy edging. I just sewed the edging along the edges of the bag.  Then tacked it to the wall. I wish I would have put something around the edges to make it sturdier but it still works! I like having my earrings on display!

This is a purse I made from a pair of jeans that sadly didn't fit any more. I chopped off the legs and sewed up the bottom. Then I used an old belt, that I also couldn't wear any more, as a strap. Also some ribbon for extra flair. I love all the pockets it has! (That's the bouquet from my wedding to the left of the purse in the 1st picture.)

I made these bracelets years ago when I was still in high school. There still awesome though! I used craft wire from my mom supplies lol and some safety pins on a few. I put safety pins on EVERYTHING back tIhen! I didn't get a close-up of the green bracelet and necklace made of stone beads but it's one of my favs! I named this one Oldies not only because of the "Crafts from the Past" but because at work I have to listen to the radio and I was listening to the local classic rock station KZ 106. Every once and a while they will play all the songs in their libary A-Z and you get to hear songs they don't play a lot. I still have Queen's Bicycle Race stuck in my head!

Girls Nite=Fun Nite!!!

Yesterday was Thursday and that means it was GIRLZ NITE BITCHES!! Me and a few friends have been getting together every Thursday night for the past few years! Some of the faces have changed but the best ones are still there along with some new girls that are awesome as well! I love my bitches! We just go to one of our houses mostly, mine or Carmelas, and get away from boys, husbands, baby daddy's, boyfriends, kids or what ever else it is that happens to be stressing us out that week! This pic is some peach O's that Ashley brought just for me!!! I love these bags they make me smile! This week i did my nails and made this awesome bow!!!
I'm in love with it! It's basicly the same as the bow I showed you before only this time I added some wire and beads to the middle instead of buttons and put it on a head band. It's also double the length and you don't cut it in half I just cut along the edge. All the girls said it reminded them of Alice in Wonderland and I have to agree, though I wasn't trying!
(horrible picture I know!) On my nails I used Beauty Secrets Base and Top Coat, Sinful Colors-Black on Black and this super cute pink that came in a pack of a few different colors the brand is The Color Workshop  it doesn't have a color name on it sorry.
I started with the pink as a base.
Then I used these star stickers that you can pretty much find in any stationary section of any store. I got these at the Dollar General.
I also put a top coat on before I started with the stickers. I stuck the sticker to my hand a few times so it wouldn't be as sticky and mess up the polish.

Next I used a sponge to put black over the stars. I just painted the sponge instead of dipping it. If you get to much you can just use a dry side of the sponge to kinda sponge it off.

You need to leave an edge of the star hanging off the nail so you can easily take it off. I used tweezers to pull them off so I didn't mess up my other nails.
I'm really in love with it and I'm so glad it worked this time! I found this idea on another blog awhile back and I can't remember whose it was so if you know please comment and I'll add a link. I love how it looks spray painted!!!
I also got free stuff yesterday!! It's a red dress pin from Go Red for Women. It's a part of the American Heart Association. Somehow I got two of these so of course I gave it to Crafty Court!
It was another awesome GNB and I can't wait till next week!

These are some earrings that I made out of  belly button rings that my mom gave me awhile back. She bought them cause she liked the charms they had on them. She made  them into necklaces. So I decided I could take some old post earrings and some other charms I had, that I can't wear now because of my plugs, and turn them in dangles so i can put them in my second hole. I think they turned out nice! (Just realized that you can kinda see my tattoo. I forget about it sometimes!)

I got these free in the mail today! Their luggage tags from KLM Royal dutch airlines. I don't own luggage but I'll find something to put them on! Also I've never been on a plane nor do I know anything about this airline I merely signed up for these free through a sample site. I honestly didn't really expect them to ever come when I was signing up for them. They let you upload your own pictures so of course I had to do a hatchetman! All the pictures were entered into some contest I don't remember it obviously I didn't win! Oh well. I still think they're super cute!!!!!

It's a Dog's Life!

Today has been a very lazy day for me! I spent the first half just laying around in my PJ's. My husband (Van) and I just watched some NCIS and played with the dogs. I think it's about time I introduced them to my blog! As I'm typing one of them has decided my lap is a much better place to sit then their blanket on the floor.

This is Pickles! She's was the first and is the mommy of the following five.
This is T3. It stands for Toby the III. He's the shy quite type but don't let that fool you he's vicious at times lol.

This is Booger. He's very attention hungry! All my girls from GNB (Girls nite Bitches!) think he's the cutest. More on GNB later.

This is Jelly she's also very jealous. Hence her nickname Jealous Jelly.

And this precious thing is Cucumber!! Possibly the sweetest dog on the planet!
This little man is Dill he's the youngest from Pickles 2nd litter. The others are from her 1st.
When the mail finally came I got a little surprise or I should say Van got one. I love free stuff!! I try to go to all my free stuff sites at least once a day. This Dove for men stuff really smells good.

After dinner My friend Crafty Court came over and we went a little bow crazy! Hopefully soon you will be able to find our creations in some local stores and boutiques! That is if we can keep from keeping them all for ourselves!! All in all I think my off day was well spent and it's a good thing to because my next one isn't until next Tuesday.

Bowtastic!

Lately I've been addicted to making Duck Tape hair bows!!! It's pretty much that most amazing thing ever. Also they're really simple to make. I gotta thank my friend Crafty Court for getting me started!http://courtsnails.blogspot.com/

For the one I made today I used neon pink Duck Tape, scissors, thread, a needle, a hot glue gun, a clippy, a few star beads, and a ruler.

First I cut 2 pieces of tape about 7".

Then I taped the 2 pieces together.

Then I sniped the edges so they would be even. (I just noticed the calender in the back ground. In case you did too It's the WICKED Girls lol!)

Then I cut the strip in half. It's easier to get a straight line if you fold it down the middle before cutting. And you should note that you can also cut it any way you want down the middle like zig-zags or waves for different effects.

Here's where the needle and tread come in. Just make a few stitches down the cut side of you tape strip. It doesn't matter what color you use, you wont be able to see it when you're done. (If you didn't cut a straight line and want to get some cooler designs you should sew on the folded edge, so your zig-zags or waves show.)

After you have a few stitches pull the thread tight and continue to the end doing the same thing. I forgot to say how much tread i used it was about 8-10".

Then I just sewed the ends together.
Then repeat with your other strip.

Then I hot glued these beads to each other.

Then I hot glued the beads to the center of the bows.

Now all that's left is to hot glue your bows to the clip. You wanna make sure you have your clip on something so you don't glue the clip shut. I used a scrap piece of cardboard.
And viola! You have the cutest effin' thing ever to put in your hair!!!! The lighting in my craft room isn't the greatest. This pink tape and the green beads are much brighter than they appear to be.

Pay no attention to the dates on the pictures it isn't correct.
