Recently my mom's mom (Granny Granny) has been cleaning out her mom's (Great Granny) house. I got to help take some things off her hands! All those boxes above are stuffed full of vintage goodies!
There is a ton stuffs like this! Pre-made (by great granny or papaw) quilt pieces! I can't effin' wait to do something with these!
Almost a whole box of these old flour sacks! This is the best one my guess is the bleached most of them, maybe for quilt backings.
Lastly (for now) tons and tons of fabrics all shapes, sizes, colors, ages and textures!
This is an awful pic, but it's the only one I have of these awesome bandana things. All the girls fell in love with them. (How could they not?) So I'll be making lots of these! I've made one already and started another I'll post those soonish!

The Lazy Song!
That's right that song should probably my theme song for this month. I've been possibly the laziest person ever. I'd take a picture of my living room but I'm afraid someone would come take my dogs away from me! On the plus side though I have watched the first three seasons N.C.I.S and I loved every minute of it. I don't care what you think (Courtney)! I love that show! Don't think I'm stopping there either season four will be in my hands soon!!! I did make a few bows not as many as I wanted.
I've been wearing that cupcake one for like three days I'm in love with it! The rainbow one also is auhmazing! The lady bug bow is for a friend because she wouldn't shut up about it lol. The orange and navy is another softball one that hopefully will impress the boss's daughter!

Another Day of Bows!!
Today was another good one in the land of off days! I made a few bows and talked with an old friend I haven't seen in forever!!!! We should be getting together this weekend for a little war! Also today was kinda sad Court! went on a cruise and will miss GNB!! But on the upside be expecting a post when she gets back about how awesome it was!!!!! (also hopefully presents from far away lands!) We had Long John Silvers for dinner and I dropped my whole plate in the floor! Luckily I have an awesome husband and he gave me all his french fries!!! I love him lol! (I think I might be going overboard with !!!!!) any ways... Here's some pics of the bows I did today!
These are for my boss's daughter! They match her soft ball uniform. These are also the first of this style bow I've made from ribbon! I think I did a pretty good job!
(Tutorial on this-easy to do! Just scroll down.)
I used my NEW wires cutters and pliers on this one! I was excited!
Here goes the how to:
I started with two pieces of ribbon about 10"ish.
Next I folded one in half to find the center. Then placed two drops of hot glue on each side of the fold line. Then just folded the edges and placed on glue.
Like so....
All that's left really besides adding a clippy is to tie your second piece of ribbon around the loop you've made. It might take a little of wiggling around to get it just right!
Then I hot glued this felt to the back to hold everything in place so I could even out (cut) the ends of the second strip.
I always burn the edges of the ribbon so it doesn't fray. (Be careful my dad says if you play with fire you'll pee in the bed!) You don't have to touch the fire to the ribbon just hold it close and you'll see it shrinking up.
Then just add the clippy!!!

I love trying new stuff on my nails!! So when Court said hey let's do these newspaper nails I found on Cute Polish I was all alright! They're super cute and super easy I loved that part!
Okay so I have serious problem choosing a color sometimes, and since this was the first time doing the newspaper nails I wasn't sure which colors it would look best on. I used 10 different colors! This way at least a few would look good no matter what! All you really need is one super light colored polish, some newspaper and some isopropyl alcohol.
From left to right Sinful Colors-Beautiful Girl, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Mint Sorbet, Avon Nail Wear Pro-Vintage Blue, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Lacey Lilac, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear-Wet Cement.
From Right to Left Avon Nail Wear Pro-Jade, Avon Nail Wear Pro-Luxe Lavender, Sally Henson Xtreme Wear-Marina something mixed with white by Court, Avon N. W. P.-Peach Passion, and Sally Henson Mellow Yellow mixed with white also by Court.
Once your nails have dried (I used a top coat) put the alcohol on a cotton ball and place your pre-cut newspaper on it to get it wet.
Then put the newspaper on your nail and press. When you pull the paper off just give a second to dry and put a top coat on. Told ya it was super easy!
I got this free in the mail today. Purex with Zoust.

Mom's Wallet!
I made this wallet on girls night!! It was way easier than I thought it was going to be. I hadn't made a wallet like this before and I've only made one other duck tape wallet. It' s for my mom! It's just gonna be her carhop wallet so it only needs two pockets. She bought the duck tape and I get to keep the leftovers!!! She also thought of those awesome magnetic snaps! I was surprised at how strong hey are. I'm thinking of doing a how to once I've made a few different ones.
I made these yesterday be ready for lots of bows like the one on the bottom because I have a new favorite now!!! The first one I made like the puzzle piece one was on the wallet above. I'm excited about them!
